AC trip 5/5 Cinco De Mayo
Went to AC right after work, arrived at The Showboat at around 4:30.
Sit down at a 1/2NL table. The table consisted of tight players with one annoying guy. After 2 hours I'm up $5.
At 7:00 I sit down at the $75MTT. There are about 60 players first prize is about $1300.
Down to 20 something players. I am probably top 6 in chip stacks .I get AKo in MP and raise it up 2.5XBB. Get one caller who is chip leader.
Flop A 4 2 rainbow. He bets, I raise, he pushes all-in. I call.
He has A 4, I'm done. He had been playing loose and aggressive so I put him on an Ace with smaller kicker or a straight draw. I was wrong.
Now it's after 9:00 and I sit down at a 1/2NL table. I ended up sitting there for over 7 hours.
One hand I was not involved in. 3 hearts on the board after river $300 already in the middle. First guy bets $100, second folds, third and fourth call.
About $600 in the middle. First guy turns over flush to the King, second Flush to the Jack, third guy said "This one is mine" and turns over Ah, 9s. "I thought the 9 was a diamond." I told him that's OK sometimes that happens. He asks for another Corona and screams Cinco de Mayo!!!
Generally was a good table I took a big pot from the same guy later on when I had AK and he had AQ with an A on the flop.
A girl at the table was a WSOP circuit tournament winner at The Borgata last year. She showed me the ring she received for winning. It was a $500 entry fee tournament. She won $47K. She played yesterday at a WSOP satellite at The Borgata. I'm going to try and find out how she did.
An interesting hand
I get JJ in MP. I raise it up to 10. I get 3 callers. 4 4 7 on the flop. I bet $40, I caller, turn A. He bets $20 I call. J on
the river YaHOO!! He bets $25. I raise to $50 he is all-in. I call and throw down my JJ for jacks full of 4's. He says I got it with 4's full of A's. He had A4 in the hole. I said sorry but I got J's. He was in a mystified state; players at the table had to talk him down telling him that the pot was mine.
Finished up $380 at the cash table by 4:30am. As I'm stacking up, the WSOP girl say's hey why are you leaving, stay and play a little longer. They always say that when you leave with a big stack.
