Finished in 3rd place in Full Tilt $24 MTT

Last night I played a good game and cashed for the 3rd place prize playing as TITUSOO in The Full Tilt $6500 Guaranteed 24+2 Multi Table Tournament with a starting field of 372. When I say good game, I mean good. It was not an excellent performance. I got very good hole cards and laid bad beats on people, but I did make my share of moves when necessary and managed to get as far as the final table where I made a fatal error that cost me a possible 1st place prize. It is funny that after winning I felt more upset than elated after cashing in close to $1100, but do not worry I feel much better today. The hand goes like this, The Blinds are 5,000T/10,000T with 1,000T ante I have about 120,000T and am in second place with 3 players left. The short stack has about 75,000T. I call his BB and he pushes. I have 44. Since he has less than 8BB, I put him on a wide range of hands, which includes over cards. If he has A9-AK or any other A, I am slightly ahead, 22 and 33 I dominate. This logic is flawed and I should have folded. I was staring at a minimum second place prize if I won the race and was mesmerized. On this hand, Chill can say I grew impatient and I would have to agree. I call his push and he flips over 10 10, aaaargggh! His 10's hold up and I am eliminated a few hands later. If anyone is interested in viewing the complete tourney in an animated form, hand for hand let me know.

Online Poker Tourney

I am organizing an Online Poker Tourney and am trying to determine its feasibility. I have the ability to host a private tournament on Full Tilt Poker and I would like to play online tourneys with anyone who is interested.

If it is something that has merit, I would like to set-up some sort of online/live league. It can be incorporated into a current league or stand on its own.

I plan to set up a website or blog for any possible league, which will include commentary, player standings, articles, and possibly animated hand histories of entire tourneys.

Anyone who is interested would have to set-up an account on Full Tilt Poker. If you set it up by clicking on the link on this page in the upper right hand area, you will qualify for an additional bonus not mentioned at the website.

Once your account is set-up in Full Tilt, I can also transfer money that you give me into your account if you feel more comfortable doing so.

Please let me know if you are interested, or have any comments or suggestions.

AC Trip Report with Special Guests

Another weekend, another trip report, well actually my trips are not that frequent but I would not mind if they were.

This trip brings with it special guest appearances by Chrissy and Dom, and this being Dom's first casino card room outing.

We plan to play The Borgata's 50+10 w/1 AO 11: am tourney but much to our surprise all tourneys for the weekend were cancelled. This leaves us to make a dash for the 11: am Showboat 50+10 tourney. We barely make it to the room in time but all manage to find a seat with Dom getting in as an alternate within the first 10 minutes or so.

The tourney was uneventful with Dom and Chrissy busting out at the 5th level. I manage as a short stack to slow down my busting out until a couple hours later and finished 35 of a field of 122.

Now we head on, back to The Borgata and sit down at a 10 player 60+15 SNG tourney. This was the first time I had a chance to witness Dom's casino play and I was impressed. At one point, he was big stack with 5 players left and he was making moves and looking very confident. He made the final four but was cold decked on a couple hands and busted out. The table was very boisterous with alcohol flowing to the majority of players including myself and Dom. Dom had just found out that liquor was gratis at the table and was taking full advantage by ordering a few scotch on the rocks while I had a couple of Heinekens. Chrissy was playing her drinking slow with coffee, which is usually my drink of choice at a casino table, but I will have 1 or 2 beers on occasion, especially in the afternoon.

I end up heads up with an extremely big stack and offer to chop 350/250 with him of course taking the 350. He accepts immediately which I believe was a mistake. I was out-chipped at least 6:1 so he actually should have been able to take me out and take the full $400 for first place, but he did mention that I was aggressive and like shoving my chips around so he had some trepidations and took the safe way out.

In the second SNG I played miserably. I tried to push Chrissy out of a pot early when I was holding a Q with a medium kicker on a Q 7 3 A board. Chrissy came out betting 400 and I shoved all in trying to represent the A, well that was a mistake because Chrissy was holding AQ and left me crippled. I soon busted out when one of the guys that I stacked during the previous SNG mad a loose call when I pushed with A10s and and caught his card to bust me.

After the second SNG we headed off for the 1/2NL cash game. Chrissy and I were seated at the same table and Dom was somewhere else across the sea of felt in the 85-table room. Chrissy was playing very well as was noted to me by 2 players to my right. On one hand when Chrissy held AA she milked one of them for all she could and he said that "she plays like a pro", another player 2 to my right said that she scared him and I believed him.

While I was still playing Dom sat behind me and told me how a donk at his table stacked him. Dom gets AKs and raises it up, he gets one caller. The flop comes down with an A giving him TPTK. Now this is where I am impressed with Dom's reading ability and aggression. He put the Donk all-in with his remaining stack of $120. The donk calls with 66 and is heavily dominated with only 2 outs. This is where you want to be in this game, all of your chips in the middle and being a 90%/10% favorite. Unfortunately, he hits a 6 on the river and crushes Dom's chance of doubling up.

All-in all it was not a profitable trip for anyone but it was fun and I think we all learned something new about the game.
